Since I bought the Mayer strat 2 years ago I
have barely picked up my '68 SG. I have played strats over the years
and finally decided to buy one. I spent all day playing strats of all
types with price points of $1,000 and up at Guitar Center. After going
through many guitars none seemed to be exactly what I wanted until the
Mayer. Incredible action, superb tone, great pickups. I knew in first
couple minutes this was it even though I barely knew who Mayer is (do
now.) Anyway, Mayer and Fender designed a great guitar to play my
favorites Hendrix, Clapton and Gilmour.
